Lovely weekend

I have been having a wonderful time with my new baby. She is a little ball of energy, as Dave warned me she would be! But I have plenty of energy too. Willow goes with Tom on his morning runs (which he has shortened a bit for her) and she and I play the rest of the day. We walk, play ball, swim and bike! I just love being with her!

Tom has some rules (what a surprise!) Willow is not allowed on the furniture especially our bed! I have been spending a lot of time on the floor. Tom has hired a nice young man to help train Willow. One of the first things he told Tom was that he was really here to train me rather that the dog. That devil Tom laughed and told him he had been trying to accomplish that for nearly 40 years and if he managed that little task there would be a major bonus in it for him!

I am a big fan of the Dog Whisper so truly I want Willow to be dog. A very happy dog, but a dog just the same. And I want her to be well behaved enough to be able to travel with us. We are trying to use many things we have seen Cesar do. When we leave she must let us go out the door first. She must sit like a lady before she gets her supper. I always walk her before we have a training session to drain some of her abundant energy. Perhaps with work she will turn into the lovely, obedient lady Tom always wanted in his house. Heaven knows he is not likely to ever get me to that point! BTW he suggested naming her Lady but I told him absolutely not! I heard that word enough (usually to tell me what I am NOT acting like) and I would not be calling my baby by that name!

I know many of you are dog lovers and can give me tips on ‘child’ rearing. So Paul, Dave I am counting on help. Having never been a mother before I certainly do not want to mess this little one up. I’m listening!

Tom is using her as an excuse to warm my seat daily. Beginning the first day we had her he said he wanted her to know it is part of the routine in this house. LOL, now what excuse do you think he will come up with next?

Yesterday was our 38 wedding anniversary. Can you imagine? During the early years of our marriage no one could have convinced me it would possible last this long. Tom seemed certain it would last but I always believed he would leave me eventually. Oh my, do you know how happy I am that he was right and I was wrong!!

I cooked his dinner last night. I didn’t want to go out. So I told him I would be in charge of dinner. I wish you could have heard him laugh! I acted highly insulted, I told him to take Willow to the dog park and to be home precisely at 7. While he was gone I not only cooked I set the table on the deck with our best – linen table cloth, china and silver – the works! It looked beautiful. When Tom came home I even served him like any good housewife should. I had fixed my specialty. Now can any of you tell me what wine goes best with tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches?

Happy Anniversary! What a great feeling to be madly in love with the man you married after all these years.
Warning to you--
I have been spanked because of my dog. But I don't care, he is worth it. He is loyal, a great stress-reliever and always glad to see me when I come home. He is defintely my dog. He growls at J when he spanks me. He lies in his bed across the room but he does growl. Someone has to be on my side :)
Ciao,
I Gal

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Hey, I find Red wine goes with grilled cheese just fine.
I like the dog whisperer too. I also followed a few of his tips of his. Luckily, my dog is very well behaved so I don't have a lot of difficulties. He's probably more well behaved than I am. You sound like you are doing great and Willow has found the best mommy ever.

Happy Anniversary Cassie! I was late for your birthday, but not your anniversary! Sounds like just the right thing to get the dog used to spanking! :-) Sounds like you'll do great with your puppy. I know that consistancy and love is all they need!

Love,

Carye

Hey..you cook like me. Happy Anniversary!! Willow is just what you need. You are a great mom. Our dog is 14 and pretty much does what she wants. She's a lap dog.

She doesn't care much for the kink either but more or less gets that here we go again look!

Mom Happy Anniversary. The first dog I ever owned was a golden and I have had two of them. Hershey is rotten, loves all of us but is my baby of 14 years. She has her own pillow and blanket and is a bed hog now and then.

Love and hugs,
David

Cassie dear sister Happy Anniversary.
Tom is a wise man he won't leave,
Like the fact that you are being trained, you will be the biggest influence in Willow's life.
Just one tip and your trainer may have already told you this, Willow's bones will only start hardening at about eight months go easy on the exercise till then and yes consistency is important.
Love and warm brotherly hugs,
Paul.

Hey, Cassie, warm hugs and many congrats to you both on your 38th wedding anniversary!!!
What a wonderful photo of Willow!! just beautiful with the blue hydrangea(?) in the background....
Have fun with her, they grow so quickly! Take pics of her in things/next to specific things so as she grows, you can continue to compare her against them and see how big she has got! love, Daisy xxxxx

Sounds like you are definitely off on the right foot! I'm proud of you!

Amazingly enough, Cindy's dog and cat all but ignore spankings! Her golden, Kasha, even lays on the bed right next to us during them.

Rarely, when she is spanking me, he will get a tad distressed, and leave the room. But we think it's because he knows I'm the true Pack Leader, and doesn't like it when I'm 'distressed'.

Hugs,
Dave

Sara,
Thank you sweetie! I will take another 38 years for starts!

I Gal,
I am madly in love with my husband for sure! Mostly Willow just seems curious about spanking, not upset. I wonder if it would be any different if Tom was really upset with me?

Lori,
I surely hope Willow will be well behaved. I don't have much experience as a mom.

Carye honey,
Thank you she sure will have plenty of love!

Mthc, My Chick!
I wonder if she will get upset as she gets older but I can tell you now Tom is making sure she sees and heard it daily! LOL!

David,
I would let her on the bed to sleep with us but bossy says absolutely NOT!

Paul,
Tom informed me this morning that he does not take Willow with him on his run, he just walks her before he runs. All this takes place before I get up - LOL!

Daisy,
I have to admit that was only a picture from the internet. We have taken tons of picture of her and she is even more beautiful but Tom will not let me post any of our own pictures.

Dave,
Two of our cats seem to enjoy seeing me get spanked while the other one runs and hides!

I have a feeling if Tom was going to punish me he would put Willow out. That is just my guess.
