Is this the job for me?

I guess Tom and I are going to help out with the marriage classes being sponsored by our church. I am not one hundred percent in favor of this idea. Of course I know I have a wonderful marriage. I know that but the main reason for this is that Tom is such a wonderful man. I have no advice for young women trying to run a house hold, trying to combine children and a career.

But Tom wants to do it and … now you guy said I could brag here. When they gave a survey to church members between the ages of 18 and 35 the minister said that Tom and I were requested to participate more than any other couple and he said that every woman who turned one in had asked for us! I can’t pretend to say that that did not make my head swell but it has not eased my worry.

We shall see how it goes but if I get uncomfortable I may bail on them! I know we do have an old fashion marriage and I would not want anything else but I don’t want to appear ‘quaint’ or simply old fashion. I just don’t know about all this. Tom may just have to go without me.

Um you bail? Somehow I don't think Tom would go for that! You may go standing, but I doubt you wont be going :-) You'll do fine! I think you'll find you know and have more help for young couples than you think you will!

Now Mom, you KNOW Tom will be standing right behind you with that ivory brush if you try to turn and flee...

Go... this WILL be good for you, and GREAT for those in the class!

Love you,
Mom

Cassie, I so admire your modesty, however you do have a very good marriage.
Sure your marriage is old fashioned, so what, it works.
You have love, friendship, trust, respect, honesty and honour in your marriage, these are the qualities that make you the couple that you are.
Teach this to your newly weds and you will be doing them a world of good, not only them but their children will benefit also.
You two will do a wonderful job.
Go for it sis, make me proud of you. Love you girl.
Warm hugs,
Paul.

Regardless of whether or not your marriage is old-fashioned, all types of marriage need good communication and you can share that with the young couples. I am sure everything will be fine. :)

Carye and Tig,
Tom won't make me do it. But he really wants me to which is nearly as hard to resist. I will give it a try for a while.

Lilly,
It did make me feel good that they asked for us. I am taking a deep breath.

Eva,
Thank you. All of you do give me courage.

SA,
We do talk all the time and I do worry about couples that don't.

PK,
LOL! I think most spanko need very little help, we all already have the secret!

They want you because they can see you are still in love with each other and they want that too! I am sure you will be able to convey that secret to them without giving away your privacy. You give so much to us here they will surely benefit!
